Our services

During the launch of the polyclinic (8 January 2024), 17 specialties will be available to clients. You can find a list of them on this link, where you can also find out more about the focus of their clinics and information on how to book an appointment now.

More doctors will be added to the Váš Lekár Polyclinic team in the coming weeks after the opening – information will be added on our social networks and website.

No, the clinic focuses on health care and prevention for adult clients (18 years and older). The exception is the pediatric cardiologist, who provides health care for clients between the ages of 15 and 18. The fee for the initial examination and check-up with a paediatric cardiologist is 150 €.

Váš Lekár Clinic will be open from Monday to Friday, always from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, and the clinics will operate according to their office hours. The aim is to gradually establish a two-shift system. The polyclinic will not yet provide its services on weekends and also does not have an emergency reception.

If you need to use the emergency room, we recommend you to use it in the hospital in Bratislava that is closest to where you are. In the same way, in case of acute life-threatening situations, serious injuries or fractures, do not waste time contacting the clinic – contact directly Emergency Medical Service Operations Centre on the following number 155. This also applies to times when the clinic is open.

It is a medical procedure or a procedure that is “prescribed” or decided to be necessary by a physician based on his or her expertise.

Preventive check-ups within the polyclinic are designed to provide a picture:

  • about general risk factors in the client,
  • on factors related to his age and gender,
  • as well as the client’s medical condition, including the doctor’s interpretation.

The doctor will form a comprehensive view of the patient’s health after an initial evaluation of the measured parameters, laboratory tests, ultrasound scans and ECG curves.

Based on these findings, physicians will be advised to further manage the provision of health care to the extent and focus required.

All clients have a consultation with a physician, initial laboratory tests that monitor more than 20 markers, an abdominal ultrasound and an EKG as part of an extended health screening. For women, in addition to the gynaecological examination, the check-up is increased to include ultrasound of the pelvic organs and breasts, and for men, in addition to the urological examination, ultrasound of the thyroid gland.

Annual membership

The client pays an annual fee of 1200 € for services related to ordering, client services, online client zone services, reception and call center services, SMS notifications and other services. These are services that are not related to medical procedures.

In addition to these services, the client gets the following services free of charge in the package price:

  • once a year – an extended preventive examination adapted to the age and gender of the client
  • once a year – consultation with a psychologist of the polyclinic
  • once a year – consultation with a nutritional counsellor
  • once a year – dental hygiene
  • telephone pharmaceutical advice

The client pays for all non-indicated medical procedures at his/her own request according to the valid price list of the polyclinic.

The client pays for for the medical competency assessment

Other surcharges are priced according to individual specialties and types of examinations.

The client does not pay for the indicated examinations and procedures with seventeen specialistsi.e. for those which his doctor orders him to perform. For some of these, you will need an exchange ticket for a free examination.

However, six specialties are excluded from the list of free treatment options. These are the specialties that are commonly supplemented: dentistry & dental hygiene, physiotherapy, aesthetic clinic, psychologist and nutritional counselling. You will be able to visit these clinics according to the current price list.

The annual membership in the Váš Lekár Polyclinic starts the day after the termination of the membership in the competing facility. However, if the client decides to visit earlier, the membership starts from the day of the first visit.

The annual membership starts when the client wants it to (within a maximum of 90 days after payment).

Yes. If people with a clear connection (family, partners, etc.) want to become members of the clinic, each client will receive a €200 discount on the price of an annual membership.

Examinations

The client makes an appointment by phone +421 940 40 90 70 and makes an appointment for the agreed time. However, it should be taken into account that the examination time is indicative, as the examination of each patient takes individually and may slightly exceed the specified time. The call centre worker offers appointments according to the availability of the doctor’s electronic diary and offers the earliest possible appointment.

We are building the ordering system so that the appointment is available as soon as possible. The acute examination is indicated by the adult general practitioner and an appointment is also arranged with a specialist according to the urgency of the medical condition. The management of the acute patient is entirely the responsibility of the polyclinic.

This option is not yet available, but we will launch it together with the online client area. It will then be possible to make an appointment within your online client area.

Of course. We will work with other facilities where we can direct you if needed. The reception of the clinic will make an appointment for you to be examined by the contractual partner and will inform you about the date and place of the examination as well as about the preparation for the examination. Contractors will be listed on the website.

You must contact our call centre at +421 940 40 90 70 at least 48 hours before the examination. Just 48 hours before the appointment, the client will receive a reminder of the appointment, inviting them to cancel or reschedule it if necessary to avoid inefficiencies in medical capacity.

Yes, but in this case we ask you to contact our call centre (+421 940 40 90 70) who will connect you to a general practitioner. After a telephone consultation, he or she will determine further health care management and recommend next steps.

You need an exchange ticket to almost all specialists. You don’t need him to see an eye and skin doctor, or to see a dentist, dental hygienist, nutritionist, and psychologist. However, you must make an appointment.

The client primarily makes an appointment with his/her general practitioner, who, if necessary, refers the client with an exchange ticket to a specialist (except for specialties that do not need an exchange ticket – listed in the point above).

Yes. The client can purchase a one-time admission to the polyclinic, which includes an initial examination and check-up in a specialized outpatient clinic. A one-time two-phase examination costs 150 € – and is subject to the capacity of the given outpatient clinic.

Single entry is not valid for the following outpatient clinics: general practitioner’s office, nutritional counselling, dentistry, dental hygiene, aesthetic dermatology, psychology, physiotherapist.

If the given outpatient clinic does not have a contractual relationship with the patient’s health insurance company, the examinations and prescribed treatment are paid by the client according to the price list of the Váš Lekár Polyclinic.

Yes – with the client paying for the medication in full.

Of course. This is a special product that costs € 399.

The extended preventive examination consists of general and laboratory examination, ECG, and is supplemented by an ultrasound of the abdominal cavity and genital organs, a visit to a gynaecologist (for women) and a urologist (for men), and a follow-up consultation of the results with an internist or a general practitioner.

Capitalized clients

A capitated client is a client who has signed a Health Care Agreement with a General Medicine Outpatient Clinic physician or a Gynecology and Obstetrics Outpatient Clinic physician and is in possession of medical records. The capitated client receives full health care from the doctor, including the implementation of the Statutory Preventive Examination, which is reimbursed by the health insurance company.

Uncapitated patients are not reimbursed by the health insurance company for this statutory preventive check-up. This agreement is signed for a minimum of six months, after which time it can be changed and you can transfer to the care of another GP (or gynaecologist in the case of women).

If you have a signed Health Care Agreement with a general practitioner and a gynaecologist, these are your primary doctors in that area of care.

The healthcare agreement is signed by the client with the doctor, who explains the procedure to the client. Our reception will then arrange for the medical records from the previous doctor to be collected. However, this can happen no earlier than six months after the signing of the last Health Care Agreement with the current general practitioner or gynaecologist. You sign an agreement with the clinic doctor, we take care of the transfer of the medical documentation towards us.

The client gets the opportunity to see more than 23 specialists in one facility together with a general practitioner. Due to the limited number of clients, he will be allocated available appointments for examinations as soon as possible. Under one roof, you will also get expert advice on how you can improve your physical and mental health, as well as how to take care of yourself.

Appointments are booked without waiting, he can consult his condition by phone, and the clinic takes care of his management – reminding him of preventive check-ups and reminding him of the appointments.

Potential and new clients

Váš Lekár Clinic focuses on prevention, prolongation of active life and accessibility of services. In practice, this means – 23 specialists under one roof, focusing on the prevention of clients with regard to their gender and age.

Moreover, the clinic will be characterized by a limited number of clients, thanks to which the doctor will have enough time for them, which will be felt by the clients themselves during the examinations.

Yes, but the treatment can only be implemented when a time slot becomes available. It depends on the capacity utilization of our clients. In the event that our clients who have purchased an annual membership fill the capacity of the clinic, we will not be able to accept patients with single admission to the outpatient clinics.

If the clinic does not have a contract with your health insurance company for the provision of health care, the examination in its entirety and with the prescribed treatment will be paid for by the client.

Yes, we have created a package that includes two entries to the clinic (examination and check-up). Client management in this case costs 150 € and is a one-off fee.

For companies

The annual package also includes an occupational medical check-up for employees classified in I. and II. categories of work according to health risks. Your company can then claim the amount as an expense in its accounts. Your accountants will give you more details.

PZS is moving to clients with an annual program purchased at Váš Lekár’s Clinic.

The decision is up to the employer (it does not concern the decision of the management of the polyclinic Váš Lekár) and may have the following variations:

And, the Employee’s CBA will continue to expire after the Employee leaves, as he has also signed a retail contract.

B, the Employer will claim from the Employee an aliquot part of the cost of the CZS.

C, In the event of a replacement, the new employee will be credited with a new CZS with a one-year validity.
